Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for various finance and reconciliation duties, including:

Revenue Reconciliations

  • Daily revenue reconciliations for all store POS payment methods
  • Input revenue figures onto reconciliation spreadsheets
  • Verify cash deposits and cash drops
  • Reconcile card transaction revenue with bank deposits

Financial Administration

  • Review daily store reports
  • Investigate and resolve financial discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate financial records
  • Ensure original cash-up documentation is received weekly

Third-Party Revenue Reconciliation

  • Reconcile revenue from:
    • Mr D
    • Uber Eats
    • Yumbi
    • Pedros App
    • Vouchers
    • Account payments
    • Cheques

Variance Management

  • Identify and investigate revenue variances
  • Communicate with stores and operations management
  • Resolve discrepancies according to company procedures
  • Escalate unresolved issues where necessary

Minimum Requirements

Candidates applying for the Finance Clerk position should meet the following requirements:

Educational Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric)

Advantageous Qualifications

  • Certificate or higher qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Administration

Experience

  • Basic accounting knowledge
